Grandkids Are the Best!!

After the trip to Spokane, I flew to Utah with Tamra.  Scott and his family were there for a big reunion for Jane's family so we planned to connect with them.  Reed and Lisa drove from Sparks to Utah on the 21st and then we all got together for a few days.  There's just nothing more fun than getting together with family.... especially grandkids!  What can I say; I can never get enough of them!!!  Wish some of them lived a little closer.

Trip to Spokane...

Tamra had a work conference in Spokane so I went along to watch Hunter for her.  We stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel which was right by the Riverfront Park and the Spokane River.  It could not have been a better location.  The park was actually the 1974 expo site.  Every day Hunter and I would take off for the park..... it was beautiful and we loved it!  When we weren't at the park or downtown, we'd hang out in our hotel room.   

How Does Your Garden Grow...

In spite of the strange weather lately, our garden is starting to grow.  The squash and bush beans are coming up, most of the tomato plants are reaching the top of the water walls, and the strawberries are turning red.  In fact, tonight we had to put netting over the strawberry plants to keep the birds from eating the strawberries!  There's a certain robin that has been a frequent visitor lately.  Needless to say, he should be disappointed tomorrow when he realizes his banquet table is off limits!
